Where or where have I been?

Yep, I stopped writing again. I wish this wasn’t something that happened so often. At the beginning of the year I wrote that I was going to write more, then I didn’t. I wrote one post. Drafted a few more than that. Then, as usual, I got really busy again. Here’s what I’ve been up to:

More Than a Military Spouse
Me on our trip to Vancouver, BC, but that’s not the only place where I went

  • Finishing grad school. I’m done! I don’t have class anymore! That was the reason that this blog started, but when it was no longer a part of class, it was hard to prioritize. Now that I have evenings free again, I have more time to blog!
  • Work, work, work. I started working more last summer, and well, I am still working a lot. In fact I’ll be working full-time starting this week. But hopefully it won’t get in the way of the blog. And it’s great foddor to talk about being a military spouse AND working!
  • Spending time with the hubby. I’ll admit when he is home, we like to kick back and relax. Some of that is watching TV on the couch, often with computers put away. Or playing games. I’ll admit, Candy Crush Saga is ADDICTING. We’ve also done a few trips and projects in the last few months, so be on the lookout for posts on those.
  • Exhausted. I’ll admit, between school, work, volunteering, commuting, spending time with friends – I just haven’t wanted to write at the end of the day. I’m going to try to set aside time to write so that IĀ get something out every week.

So that’s where I’ve been. Coming up: a post I started awhile ago that came from a reader on tips for deployment when you aren’t married, and don’t necessarily have strong support from the unit. Military life without kids! Food. Travel. The usual. As always, let me know what you want to read about and I’ll try to deliver. I mentioned it a few months ago but there will be some tech changes so be on the lookout for when that is happening.

Here’s to blogging again.
