My latest food obsession: Goldbely

Thanks to one of my favorite sites Brit + Co. I discovered Goldbely. The site offers regional favorites from across the U.S. to your day the next day, and as someone that lives far away from some of my favorite foods (both from Arizona and New York), this is a fantastic idea! And it lowers the cost a bit (I’ll explain).

So when I discovered that my husband’s all-time favorite food, I knew I had to buy them for his birthday. And…well, let’s just say: Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

So why am I obsessed? Here’s a few reasons:

  1. Selection. They’ve got crabs and crabcakes from Maryland. Bagels and lox, knish, black & white cookies from New York. BBQ from Texas. Pies from the Midwest. There are all sorts of foods on there and I want to order in the future.
  2. Customer service. The day I wanted to order them in time for James’ birthday I saw no purchase option. An email later it was back up and ordered! They even sent me my tracking code directly. And they showed up the next day fresh and ready for a quick steam and eat!
  3. Price. For the moments when I didn’t think I’d be able to order them from Goldbely I checked out the store where they purchase through and it was going to be more expensive. Goldbely definitely has figured out how to drive down the shipping cost.
  4. Just awesome. Living in the land of Dungeness crab it’s, well, not possible to find Old Bay drenched Maryland Blue Crabs. So to bring his favorite food here to Washington state was priceless.

What food do you miss from home? Find it on Goldbely? Let me know how it goes for you!
